Hello,

I'm not sure about these Crabro sp. Can they all get a full ID?

Thank you very much.

1. Male C. peltarius?

2. Female C. scutellatus?

3. Female C. cribarius? (because it was bigger than the others)

Hi

Its somewhat tricky to tell because some important structural details are fuzzy/not visible, but the colouration (although its somewhat variable) suggests Cr. peltarius (male), Cr. peltarius (female), Cr. cribrarius (female), but not 100% certain.

cheers

I won't argue with you. I agree it's difficult from (these) pictures), especially the first one is kinda blury. But given the abbundance of C. peltarius in my garden and the size of the 3rd one, I think your ID's are pretty sound.

Cheers Eckart!
