I'm not convinced it is Sigmophora brevicornis
. I've compared it with a specimen I have and it looks very different.
First of all can you say for certain it is a Sigmophora
? Does it have the characteristic sharp transverse carinae on the vertex (easily seen in side view)? If it does, can you check how many rows of setae there are on each side of the mid lobe of the mesoscutum and whether these appear dark, or light in colour?
