Looks like a member of the Hymenoptera. I found around 20 specimens on a cultivated Mammilaria cactus. They appeared suddenly and disappeared by the next day. The size was a few mm in length. They were found in my garden in Gzira, Malta on the 29th June 2013. Any help would be appreaciated.

Thanks Henrik,

I always thought the antennae of Diptera were thin.

There is always something new to learn!
