Ichneumon stramentarius

Ichneumon stramentarius

Postby tlegrand on 26 Sep 2017, 21:10

Hello,

An Ichneumoninae found in North of France, Clairmarais, the 26 september 2017, in a mainly deciduous forest
Maybe a female Ichneumon suspiciosus ?
I count 37 segments on the antenna flagellum and I don't see a scopa on hind coxa

I agree with Camille, this is more likely Ichneumon stramentarius. I checked with key in Perkins again, the surface sculpture on hind coxa fits better with stramentarius (which I have in collection). Also the tarsi are darker in suspiciosus. See previous thread on HymIS: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15069&p=46514&hilit=ichneumon+suspiciosus#p46514
