Mesochorinae? > Mesochorus or Astiphromma?

Mesochorinae? > Mesochorus or Astiphromma?

Postby Lennart Bendixen on 02 Dec 2016, 08:54

Hi again,

in this case I'm not sure if this is Ichneumonidae at all, because I can't see the venation clearly. The specimen was gone too fast. But after its overall impression I think it could be Mesochorinae?

Thanks in advance, Lennart

Length about 5 mm. 2016-07-20, Northern Germany, S-H, Mohrkirch, northside of a hedge, Quercus, underside of a leaf

still wondering what this might be... Braconidae?? Is anyone here able to decide this?
Too bad the venation is that blurred.

Great Rapha! It really caused me headaches...

Now the great question: Mesochorus or Astiphromma?
Cidaphus I would exclude, because Broad's key to nocturnal Ichn. says wing length >7 mm for that genus.

But I can't find a hint how to distinguish the other two genera.
