Brackwespe (aus Plutella xylostella)

Brackwespe (aus Plutella xylostella)

Postby Karola on 13 Oct 2016, 10:32

Hallo,

Hi Karola,

I'm writing in English so everyone can read it, because I think there are barely any German speakers active in this forum.

Are you sure they are Braconids? Because from their overall appearance I'd call them Ichneumonidae, but I can't see the venation clearly and after all I'm not an expert. Maybe someone else is able to recognise a subfamily?

You can have a look here how many species of Ichneumonoidea have been reared from Plutella xylostella: http://www.taxapad.com/local.php?newwolp=83887350 ;)
It's a global list, but when you open the species profiles the distribution will be shown. I guess it won't help you very much, anyhow :?

Schöne Grüße von Lennart

So there are still many spp. from 7 genera left, which are hitherto known as parasitoids of P. xylostella in Germany.

Campoletis annulata,
Campoplex rothii,
Clypeoplex cerophagus,
Hyposoter ebeninus,
Lathrostizus lugens,
Tranosemella praerogator
and some Diadegma spp. (Diadegma armillatum, Diadegma chrysostictos, Diadegma crassum, Diadegma exareolator, Diadegma fenestrale, Diadegma gibbulum, Diadegma gracile, Diadegma holopygum, Diadegma hygrobium, Diadegma laterale, Diadegma longicaudatum, Diadegma majale, Diadegma monospilum, Diadegma semiclausum, Diadegma tenuipes, Diadegma trochanteratum, Diadegma velox)

Maybe someone can exclude some of them, who knows? :)
