let`s wait a moment if there comes an answer to explain

hello,

I have found some interresting fotos, perhaps it helps for correct identification.

Here is a link to a foto from Xorides fuligator:
http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo110762.htm

and a link to a foto from Xorides niger:
https://www.bing.com/images/search?view ... ajaxhist=0

if the confirmation of this fotos is correct is could only be Xorides fuligator, please give me your opinion.

greetings

I attach a foto from:
Varga A. 2014. A review of the genus Xorides Latreille, 1809 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Xoridinae) in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Journal of Insect Biodiversity 2(7): 1–9.

The conclusion is may be right (I can not see enough details to be sure), but the link you post are totally wrong (may be a Tryphoninae).

I do not have good enough literature on Xorides, but after what I find (without a new revision available) is that niger should have femora 3 black, fuligator femora 3 red and first tergites red. If the colours are good enough to separate them this one could be fuligator.
I guess that Jacek Hilszczanski has been working so much with Xorides that his conclusion should be accepted.

Are there a new revision of Xorides available or soon to come?

hello Gunnar,

I think you have set a good point.
As I wrote the confirmation of the link I put into my answer could be wrong,
so I change the headline to Xorides fuligator and we got a name for this sweety.

Thanks to all for your opinion and time, at least for naming this wesp.

best wishes

I asked Sasha Varga who loves these wasps, and he says: "It looks more like X. sepulchralis"
(Not 100% sure)

The Russian key from zin.ru - Xorides sepulchralis:
Задн. лапки ♀ c белым кольцом
That is hind tarsus female with white ring.
I can not see any white ring on hind tarsus on these pictures.
Do you think the pictures on this link is right ID?:

Sasha says the russian links are correct. He takes back sepulchralis after a second view. "it's difficult to say for sure from image, fuligator is very similar to niger, but has more smooth hind coxa... the same coloration have several european species"
